Fitness Excuses

It's easy to make excuses about fitness, we all do it. To live the FitVegan.Life, you need to change your mindset and stop making excuses.

I don’t have time, I’m too tired, the gym isn’t open…. Do any of these excuses sound familiar to you? I’ve used them all at times in my life to avoid fitness activities. Let’s tackle these one at a time.

I don't have time

You only need to exercise around 30 minutes a day to get fit. Do you really not have an extra 30 minutes per day? I’m a busy realtor in Denver and I often work from when I get up at 5:30am until 7, 8 or even 9pm. I’m often about as busy as someone can get with work. However, I take the time each morning to exercise. It makes my whole day better. I have a better attitude and increase my productivity when I get my morning exercise.

How much time do you spend each day watching TV, scrolling through social media accounts or playing video games? All you need to do to live the FitVegan.Life is take 30 minutes each day from these activities and use that time to exercise. Once you start exercising everyday, it becomes much easier and you don’t even think about not having time.

I'm too tired

We all feel tired and overwhelmed at times, I know I do. The interesting thing about exercising is that it makes you feel less tired. It seems counterintuitive but it really does work. Commit to exercising each day for the next couple of weeks and you will have more energy and be less tired.

My gym isn't open

With the global pandemic, many gyms have closed. Don’t fall for this excuse when it comes to your fitness. There are numerous exercises you can do without a gym or even any exercise equipment. You can walk, run, do pushups, jumping jacks, squats, lunges and lots more. My gym isn’t open is not a valid excuse, just commit to the FitVegan.Life and get out of your head and get moving.
